Eng. Abdullah Baqshan Chair for Bee Research exerts efforts to establish cooperation with distinguished international research and scientific organizations to make benefit of their skills and experience in promoting beekeeping in the Kingdom. Therefore, the Chair participated in organizing the conference and its accompanying exhibition in Abha, Aseer through 23-25/2/2011. During the conference, five committees were formed namely the higher committee, the organizing committee, the scientific committee, exhibition committee, and conference secretariat. |
The First Meeting of Arab & Turkish Beekeepers Union was held in Ankara through 23-24/4/2009 to discuss the ways of cooperation and coordination in the fields of bee industry between the Arab countries and Turkey. Representing Eng. Abdullah Baqshan Chair for Bee Research, the Chair's Supervisor Prof. Ahmed Al-Khazim Al-Ghamidi and the Chair's advisor Prof. Mohammad Khanbash together with Dr. Mohammad Omar attend the Interantional Beekeepers Conference. The event was held in Tanta, Egypt through 27-31/12/2009. Both the Chair's supervisor and advisor delivered an introductory lecture about the Chair including its vision, mission, objectives, and activities. The Chair's supervisor demonstrated the opportunities offered by the Chair for attracting distinguished postgraduates. |
As the Supervisor of Eng. Abdullah Baqshan Chair for Bee Research, Prof. Ahmed Al-Khazim Al-Ghamidi participated in the Second International Conference for Medical Uses of Honey - Malaysia through 11-14/1/2010. From over 50 countries, the conference was attended by various scientists including specialists of medical majors and bee sciences. During the conference, the attendants discussed many scientific papers about the various uses of bee products like honey, royal jelly, bee venom, propolis, pollen, and beeswax. |
As the Supervisor of Eng. Abdullah Baqshan Chair for Bee Research, Prof. Ahmed Al-Khazim Al-Ghamidi participated in Malaysia 10th International Expo on Technology, Invention, and Innovation through 18-20/2/2011. The Expo was held under the title of "Moving Innovations to Market" in Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, Malaysia. The Chair's participation was a modern hive for keeping bees that is designed to suit the Saudi environment as it allows controlling humidity and temperature optimally to raise the larva. |
In cooperation with Beekeepers Cooperative Association (BCA), Eng. Abdullah Baqshan Chair for Bee Research organized the First National Meeting of Beekeepers at Al-Baha through the period from 22/7 to 24/7/2009. All over the Kingdom, the meeting is the first event concerned with improving beekeeping methods and the resolving the problems hindering bee industry. The meeting was also concerned with promoting the skills of beekeepers since they are the key factor for solving various obstacles. |
